Environmental Art
Image 1: Rusted chicken wire sphere and ash sapling.
Image 2: This structure constructed of maple, ash and elm saplings woven around rough cedar posts embraces the edge of the small island and serves as a
transition from grass to woodland.
Image 3: New England beach stones and mountain talus.
Image 4, 5 and 6: Green Mountain College, Poultney VT: Assisted Axel Ewald, Israeli based sculptor and land artist, with the construction of an environmental sculpture along the
Poultney River on the GMC campus. The walls are constructed of slate, the indigenous stone of the Poultney Valley. Three walls were designed as
wave-like forms to evoke the flow of water and are placed to interact with the forest backdrop and serve as a gateway to the river.
